I remember my first onscreen love affair. Donna and David, 90210, circa 1990. I know I was only 7 or 8 years old, but as I watched them slowly fall in love an obsession was born. An obsession of the epic chemistry between two actors, the brilliant writing and direction of a love story, the slow build up, the will they won’t they, the perfect kiss, and of course the perfect execution of the perfect line.

“When was it that we fell in love, when we were 18 or 16, maybe 10? I don’t know ’cause the truth is I can’t picture a time that I wasn’t in love with you. I always knew you were the one that could look into my eyes and see my soul.”

This began my life long love of LOVE! Adding to the list year after year. New characters continue to join the likes of Pacey and Joey, Seth and Summer, Veronica and Logan, Nick and Jess, Kurt and Blaine, Chuck and Blair, and the more controversial Rory and Jess, Elena and Damon, Buffy and Spike (yes)…. to name a few. The epic love… the onscreen moments that you can’t help but rewind and re-watch a dozen times. I love most and have quite an extensive list of favorites but this year a new love rose quickly to the top of my list. Mickey and Ian.

The chemistry between Cameron Monaghan and Noel Fisher is beyond compare. I’ll admit.. it came as a shock because I only started watching Shameless for Justin Chatwin but instead of falling for the love between him and Emmy Rossum it was the moments between Mickey and Ian I found myself unable to watch just once. If you know me you know I die for epic chemistry. And theirs… absolutely brilliant. Normally I try and contain my epic love of love (although this blog may get the worst of it) but this one I just couldn’t keep in. Do yourselves a favor.. binge Shameless.
